I recently made a huge change to my look. I went brown and cut my bangs. At first it was hard to get used to, but now... I AM LOVING IT. I love change!

AVOID CONTRACTS
After working for a call center for alarm sales I have learned to never sign a contract if I can avoid it. (always be polite)
A conversation between a Comcast rep and I.
"Me: I would like to cancel my service its too expensive and we really dont watch TV
Rep:(pulls up my account speaks for 5 minutes about how I have a contract and how difficult it could be to get out of it)
Me: I don't sign contracts. Please look at your records and find where I signed a contract.
Rep: (puts me on hold for 5 minutes) Well this is unusual Ms. but we do not have record of any contract with you.
Me: Right, so i can cancel at anytime pentalty free.
Rep: Well in that event what would be your cause for cancellation?
Me: too expensive and we dont use it. So I can cancel right now and I dont pay you a thing..
Rep: Yes, BUT let me see what else I can offer you (gives me options while I politely listen)
Me: No thanks. (huge smile on my face of victory!)
Score- ME:3 COMCAST:ZERO! :)
(one point for not letting them manipulate me into a contract... and one point for being right and one point for cancelling for free.)

IHop = Blogworthy
Jordan and I returned home from a bike ride to IHop (oxymoron) and realized we just had an extremely blogworthy experience.
I have been wanting to go to breakfast with Jordan for a long time but since we have been working so hard this summer we havent had one morning together for a long time. I have had some IHop coupons for a while and have been itching to use them because it was a great deal! Buy one get one free meal... I think I know why it was such a good deal.... (yuck!)
Jordan and I woke up this morning and decided to ride our bikes to IHop because it is pretty close. I asked Jordan "Should I just wear flip flops? I mean its not even that far away". Jordan said "Sure if you want" and I did! (flip flops and not for bike riding people!)
Anyway, so I just crossed the intersection and was pedaling fairly quickly when my flip flop hit the tire and my foot loss control of the pedal and my foot ended up in the wheel... that was turning. Jordan saw from behind that my ankle twisted pretty good! I jumped off my bike and was freaking out in fright and pain... my toes were numb and I had scratches all over my leg and feet. I went to go step on my foot to see how it felt.... NO PAIN. Amazing... so I laughed and jumped back on my bike and we went to IHop (surprising how it was painless!)
We get into IHop and our waitress was very interesting to say the least. Jordan ordered an omlette and I ordered a Belgian waffle with fresh strawberries on top. Our order arrived and Jordans looked great! Mine however was a big red plate of high fructose corn syrup with 3 grossly smashed old strawberries and a tiny waffle underneath. The strawberry was DISGUSTING and too sweet. I should have known... but at least it was free.
After we left Jordan started laughing... I asked him why he was laughing he said " We JUST ate at IHop, I never thought that two people, especially like us would ever eat at IHop... I mean we are so young and have so much to live for!" I busted up laughing and was also kind of sad that we even went to which he replied " But you were so excited about your coupon... it was cute so I wanted to go with you!" SUPER CUTE AND SUPPORTIVE! After this conversation as we were unlocking our bikes... my bike fell on my foot. THE SAME FOOT IT HURT EARLIER. I looked down to realize my ankle was blue and puffy with a bump on the back... but still no pain. WEIRD. Anyway... we raced home in our bikes and went up our newly paved road( of a few hours.. it stunk!) and came home.
I am thoroughly enjoying having Jordan home for most of the day with me. This NEVER happens. :)
THE END.
*Coming up next on "The Juarez Report" ... "What would you do?" I am going to post a virtual tour of our living room and you are going to tell me how you would decorate it to make it look cute.... it's driving us crazy cuz its not cute.

Some Suga!
SUGAR PROBLEM...
A warm chewy, moist, rich, chocolaty brownie topped with a scoop of creamy vanilla ice cream, smothered in gooey hot fudge syrup. Sounds like a dream right?
Well, some people have a tolerance for such desserts and sugary sweets. Me? Not so much. . I LOVE chocolate and desserts as much as anyone else but my brain HATES it. I have a hard time giving up sugar but I have done it in the passed. Some give it up for weight loss, just as a general goal, or for other reasons.
My reason?
Mental health. I'm not afraid to admit it. Even consuming a little bit of sugar a day makes my mind cloudy and I get crabby. It takes a few days of consuming the stuff carelessly to notice a difference. I get headaches, sluggish, and can't sleep. As far as fruit and natural sugar... I am fine. So I have two choices:
A. Give it up and have better overall health. I will be a happier more efficient human being!
B. Continue being a crabby, sleepless, cloudy minded, headache but indulge in desserts as wanted
I have to choose option B. I have done a lot of research and have found a lot of evidence that states the negative effects of refined sugar on your health. Some people are fine with it and their total health and wellness is not affected. I WISH THAT WAS ME!
So now I need to muster up some discipline, goal setting, courage, and motivation to do such. I have all the tips and tricks but now I have to "go and do". ( I am trying to convince Jordan to join in on the fun...)
Wish me luck.
